  3.                 MICROSOFT PUBLISHER 2.0 FILES AND TEMPLATES 
  4.  
  5.         Included with Santa Letters 2.0, you will find Microsoft 
  6.         Publisher 2.0 files with the extension .pub.  You will not be 
  7.         able to use these files with Microsoft Publisher 1.0.
  8.         You will need to upgrade to Pub 2.0 to use these files.  
  9.         We have, however, copied some of the files to Windows Write  
  10.         and included them with Santa Letters 2.0.
  11.  
  12.         The shareware version of Santa Letters 2.0 only contains a 
  13.         couple of Publisher files.  Please send in your registration 
  14.         order form to receive more files, more info, and clip art,
  15.         as well as support via email or by phone.

  17.         The .PUB files will be installed into the C:\SANTA2\PUBFILES
  18.         directory.  You can copy the Publisher file into your Publisher
  19.         template directory. Now when you open Microsoft Publisher 2.0, 
  20.         you will see these files. You can view them, print them, and 
  21.         change them to suit your own company.

  23.         Santa Letters 2.0 includes files for brochures, flyers, banners,
  24.         form letters, labels, envelopes, order forms, ads, fund raising 
  25.         letters, press releases, gift certificates, and receipts.  All of
  26.         the files with .pub extensions are Microsoft Publisher files.
  27.         Feel free to change and modify the designs.  All files are saved
  28.         as templates.

  30.         Due to the fact that everyone does not use the same printer,
  31.         the layout of the Publisher files may change when you open 
  32.         them and start to print.  You should be able to correct the
  33.         layout with the layout checker.  Look everything over.
  34.         Make a test print.  Sometimes a box or picture may cover up 
  35.         some of the text.  You may have to move or resize the text 
  36.         boxes. Just play around with the files until they look the 
  37.         way you want them.  This is a problem with Publisher and 
  38.         Honeysuckle Computing can not be responsible.

  43.            TO OPEN .PUB FILES INCLUDED WITH SANTA LETTERS 2.0

  46.         Start Microsoft Publisher 2.0.

  48.         In the START UP box, click on the button entitled "Open
  49.         An Existing Publication" (see page 62 of the Publisher 
  50.         manual).  Choose the OK button.  
  51.  
  52.         Under "Select a File" click on "MORE FILES...".
  53.         In the Directories box, change to your C:\Santa2\pubfiles
  54.         directory.  Then choose a file to view from the Publication
  55.         Name box.  Choose the OK button.

  57.         Now you can change text, clip art, etc. to suit your
  58.         individual business.
